A graduate of UCLA, Dr. Sadeghi received her medical degree from Albany Medical College. She completed her dermatology residency at the world renowned Cleveland Clinic, where she was elected as Chief Resident during her time there.
Upon completion of her training, Dr. Sadeghi joined the UCLA School of Medicine’s Dermatology department and was instrumental in setting up UCLA’s first dermatology office in Santa Monica.
She later practiced dermatology in Denver, Colorado, and then returned to Cleveland Clinic for additional fellowship training in Mohs micrographic surgery and reconstructive surgery.
Under the directorship of Dr. Philip Bailin, an internationally regarded Mohs surgeon (and one of Dr. Frederick Mohs’ original trainees), Dr. Sadeghi gained a wealth of knowledge and experience during her training.
After years of practice in the Midwest, Dr. Sadeghi moved back to Southern California, where she now lives with her husband (a scientist and reproductive geneticist) and two children. She loves being a dermatologist and incorporates more than 20 years of experience into her craft.
Dr. Sadeghi offers personalized care to both children and adults, with the intention of promoting healthy skin. She also believes in giving back to the community.
Her involvements include teaching and educating the public about dermatology through free skin cancer screening events, participating in Santa Monica’s “Walk with a Doc” organization, and fundraising to advance dermatologic research.
Dr. Sadeghi is Board Certified by the American Board of Dermatology. She is also a fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery and the American Academy of Dermatology.
She has publications in numerous peer-reviewed journals and textbooks, and she continues to keep abreast of the latest dermatologic advances by actively participating in local and national meetings/conferences.
Dr. Sandhu is a board-certified dermatologist specializing in medical, cosmetic, and surgical dermatology. Raised in Los Angeles, she moved to the Midwest to attend a highly selective accelerated six-year medical program at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine. During her training, she completed a research fellowship with renowned dermatologist Dr. April Armstrong at the University of Southern California, assisting with clinical trials for psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, and hidradenitis suppurativa. She then finished her dermatology residency at John H. Stroger Cook County Hospital in Chicago, IL. During her residency, she received a scholarship to participate in the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery resident preceptorship program with respected cosmetic dermatologists. Dr. Sandhu also served as the chief resident in cosmetic and procedural dermatology in her final training year.
She has numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals and a strong passion for education, recently invited to speak at a national board review course for dermatology residents. Dr. Sandhu is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, and the American Medical Association.
Passionate about providing the best dermatologic care, Dr. Sandhu focuses on personalized treatment plans. She believes in empowering her patients to make informed decisions regarding their skin health. She enjoys a variety of aesthetic procedures to help her patients feel and look their best at any age.
In her free time, Dr. Sandhu enjoys painting, traveling, staying active, playing with her puppy, and spending time with her husband.
Meet the newest addition to Pure Dermatology! Jennie Aufhauser (pronounced Owf-how-zer) is our PA (Physician Assistant) who joined the practice in August 2021.
Jennie is a nationally board-certified Physician Assistant with 13 years of clinical experience. After graduating Magna Cum Laude from the University of Georgia, she earned her Master of Science from the Medical University of South Carolina.
Jennie spent the first part of her career in Family Medicine helping to launch an innovative nationwide healthcare platform and pioneered this new model for primary care that focuses on patients first. By bringing compassion and professionalism to her patients, she puts them at ease with her combination of sophisticated clinical skills and Southern charm. Jennie cites good communication and approachability as the cornerstones of her practice philosophy.
Jennie believes that continuous education is paramount to delivering the top medical care to her patients. She is dedicated to sharpening her skills by attending local and national conferences on an annual basis. She is also a fellow of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.
Jennie enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time with her husband and two young children. She is bilingual in French and English.
