4 Steps to Tighter Skin with Ellacor

Step 1: Consultation
You’ll meet with your dermatologist to determine whether you’re a good candidate for Ellacor treatment. We’ll discuss your goals, your budget, and build a plan that works for you.
Step 2: Preparation
When treatment day arrives, we’ll begin by prepping skin with a thorough cleansing to the treatment area. We’ll then apply a topical numbing cream followed by injecting a local anesthetic.
Step 3: Treatment
The Ellacor device can remove micro-cores of skin at a rate of 10mm per three seconds. Typically, treatment sessions last about 30-60 minutes, not including time for numbing the skin.
Step 4: Aftercare
Patients report minor swelling and bruising after treatment, usually at the site of the anesthetic injections. There may also be some pinkness in the skin, so your dermatologist may recommend a post-procedure laser treatment to expedite the healing process and eliminate unwanted coloration.
What Results Can I Expect from Ellacor?

You won’t need to do much to prepare for an Ellacor procedure. At your consultation, your physician will advise if there are any products or medications you need to discontinue prior to treatment. Your skin will be prepped and numbed when you come in for your appointment.
Ellacor Recovery and Aftercare
While Ellacor is not nearly as invasive as surgery, there is still a recovery period, during which you need to practice several key aftercare steps:
- Ice the treated area afterward to reduce swelling and discomfort
- Avoid makeup, sunscreen, and any other facial products for five days after treatment

- Do not exercise or perform any extreme physical activity immediately after the procedure

The Ellacor procedure is minimally painful, with most patients reporting a discomfort level of 4 on a 0-10 scale. Some patients experience bruising, swelling, and tightness after treatment. How many Ellacor treatments will I need?
For optimal results, most patients need three treatment sessions spaced around eight weeks apart. Depending on skin laxity and severity of wrinkles, some patients may see noticeable improvement after just two treatments.
Can I wear makeup after Ellacor treatment?
No, you should not wear makeup for five days after Ellacor treatment. It’s best to avoid any skin product, including sunscreen, moisturizers, and other topical treatments for that time period. You may use any products your physician supplies or recommends.
